Personalized legal services for businesses and entrepreneurs
LET’S GET OUT AHEAD OF THE ISSUES
There are only so many hours in the day, forcing us to prioritize pressing matters. In doing so, we sometimes fail to identify and address issues that can evolve into complex legal problems. Contact us today to discuss the proactive measures we can take to mitigate those risks.
AREAS OF PRACTICE
General Counsel Services
Do you have a consistent need for an attorney, but not enough volume to bring someone aboard full time? We may be able to help. We provide cost-effective legal services and support to management and in-house counsel on a fractional, as-needed basis.
Commercial Contracts
We review, draft and negotiate contracts across an array of commercial areas, including: employment, service and severance agreements; non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements; talent and deal memos; licensing agreements; legal entity formation; terms of service and use; privacy policies; term sheets and operating agreements.
Legal Services for Freelance Workers
In 2016, New York City passed the Freelance Isn’t Free Act (“FIFA”) to protect freelancer workers against abusive hiring and compensation practices. Whether you work or reside in New York City, we can help you proactively protect your business and collect on receivables.
Civil Litigation
We have more than 12 years of experience litigating civil disputes in the federal and state courts nationwide.
ABOUT CHRIS
Upon graduating from college in 2005, I went into financial services, initially specializing in audits and due diligence reviews for various public companies. I obtained a C.P.A. license in 2007, and then went to work in private equity finance at the world’s largest bank, where I had a courtside seat to the financial crisis. That experience led me to Fordham School of Law, and upon graduating in 2013, I spent the next five years at boutique litigation firms prosecuting commodity and securities fraud, as well as various antitrust violations.
While I enjoyed the challenge of litigating against some the most revered financial institutions and counsel, I found myself longing for change. Inspired by a group of friends working as freelance artists near my home in Brooklyn, I made the difficult decision to walk away from complex litigation. I started this firm in 2018 to help ensure that freelancers and small businesses are properly protected and fairly compensated under the law. The firm has since expanded, but fighting for the rights of entrepreneurs and their businesses will always be at the heart of the practice.
